Meridian West Central College holds a commencement ceremony for its students. It is the responsibility of the graduating student to complete all necessary forms and requirements in order to participate in the school’s convocation ceremony. Necessary forms to apply for graduation can be found by logging in to your Student Account, clicking on the My Account menu and selecting My Documents.
Students who wish to participate in the College Nursing’s convocation must complete a graduation application. Students will receive a graduation clearance form from Meridian West Central College, which acknowledges that all graduation requirements have been met.
Students must purchase a cap and gown to participate in graduation. The cap and gown fee are included in the graduation fee. A copy of the paid receipt for cap and gown must be kept with student’s original application and cap and gown form.
Late cap and gown payments are highly discouraged. Caps and gowns that are purchased after their respective due date are not guaranteed to arrive on time for the graduation ceremony. No cap and gown payment will be accepted within two weeks prior to the graduation ceremony. Students will be notified when caps and gowns are available for pick up.
Students may designate someone to pick them up by sending an email from the email account on file. Cap and gown pick up the day of graduation is highly discouraged.
Students will receive tickets to the convocation and their cap and gown via mail. Each graduating student is entitled to four tickets. Additional tickets may be requested when students pay for their cap and gown and will be granted on a first-come, first-served basis.
